About Us

There are computerized systems for training pilots, there are computerized systems for training AFV driving, there are computerized systems for small arms, artillery and missile fire training, and there are computerized systems for piloting UAVs. What proficiency does not have a computerized training system today?

For Land Navigation! Land Navigation is still taught through lectures, presentations, mentoring and primarily through acquiring experience in the field. There are two reasons for this. The first reason is that many land navigation instructors still believe that experience in the field is the best teacher. The second is the complexity of tactical land navigation:

Navigation is by nature a highly aggregated cognitive task, making it very difficult to break down and measure.

As such, it is very difficult to build a computerized training system, unlike other training systems that have to simply take required technical proficiency and tailor training scenarios for it.

We, in Topo-GO, solved both of the challenges. We developed a computerized training system for land navigation training, proven through rigorous trials in the IDF that the system brings the users to a higher level of land navigation capability in less time. We convinced the last skeptics in the IDF that the computerized system for land navigation training has a large added value in relation to acquiring experience in the field.

About Us

Yossi Yarchi, Founder

served in an elite IDF unit, where he accumulated many kilometers in operational military land navigation. With over 20 years of experience in instructing orienteering to at-risk youth, where he learned in depth the complexity of learning land navigation and successfully developed a solution to this complexity. The result is Topo-GO, the computerized system for learning land navigation presented here.
